Facebook Working on Application Data Storage

Snarfed.org has a good article on a new addition to the Facebook API that will allow application developers to store some of their application data on the Facebook servers.

It seems to be in very early beta since it was quietly unveiled on the developer wiki with no hints or announcement from Facebook as of yet.

As this service becomes more mature this should go a long way in alleviating the bandwidth concerns that many Facebook application developers have been facing lately.
