Extended Facebook Permissions Allows for Smoother Photo Uploads
Tue, 10/02/2007 - 08:10
Over the past couple of months I have been working on an Adobe AIR application that connects to the Facebook API in order to easily upload photos. Up until this point any time someone used my photo uploading tool they had to then sign into Facebook and approve the photos that were just uploaded via the API. Thankfully over the weekend Facebook added Extended Permissions to smooth out this process. An application can now ask the user's permission to bypass the approval step and upload/edit photos directly. The new extended permissions also allow your application to set the user's Facebook status using users.setStatus. Comments

Hi there, This is the first I've heard of this AIR>Facebook application. Can you provide a link where I can download and install it please as it would really make my life easier :) Ps, if you could email me to let me know that would be brilliant. Many thanks (I'm also checking out some of your tutorials as well which are very cool!) Kind regards,
